RHS Chelsea
Burton Hall Garden Design and Down’s Syndrome Scotland are creating a garden for Chelsea Flower Show 2025, supported by Project Giving Back. Featuring handcrafted elements from Scottish designer makers Frances Priest Studio, Laurence Macintosh, and Old School Fabrications.

A set of twenty one encaustic motif tiles featuring three abstract floral designs have been inlaid into a sandstone pathway leading up to The Hug, a wooden pavillion designed by Old School fabrications. The numbers twenty one and three feature throughout the garden, referencing the third copy of the twenty-first chromosome present with Down’s Syndrome. The tile designs contribute ceramic colour and decorative delight to the playful and welcoming theme of the garden. Beyond Chelsea Flower Show the garden will be relocated to the charity Watch us Grow in Palace Rigg Country Park, North Lanarkshire.
To coincide with the project Tulip, the first in a series of Encaustic Floral Motif Tiles is available to purchase exclusively from the studio. 10% of all sales of the Tulip design will be donated to Down’s Syndrome Scotland. Shop
