Chelsea Flower Show 2025

Burton Hall Garden Design commissioned a bespoke collection of Encaustic Floral Motifs for their award winning Chelsea Flower Show Garden 2025 for Down's Syndrome Scotland, supported by Project Giving Back. References to Down's Syndrome were woven into the design of the garden, from the playful and caring nature of people living with the condition to the cause of the syndrome from a third copy of the twenty first chromosome.

Twenty one colourful floral motifs in three different designs were inlaid into a sandstone pathway, scattered like windblown petals, leading up to a pavilion by Old School Fabrications and benches by Lawrence Macintosh. An extra tile, set into a sandstone circle, activated a playful water feature.

The garden was awarded a Silver Gilt from the RHS judges and was selected by public vote for the Peoples Choice Award. The relocation site for the garden is Palacerigg Country Park in North Lanarkshire where it has a permanent home with community garden project, Watch Us Grow.

Tulip, an encaustic floral motif inspired by the garden can be bought from the online shop with 10% of all sale sin 2025 donated to Down's Syndrome Scotland Shop
